Kuna Senior Center remains OPEN Mondays, Wednesdays & Fridays from 8:00 a.m. – 1:00 p.m. with Ada County and Central District Health measures in place. We’re operating with bus services, sit-down dining, and a full schedule of events and activities.

The City of Kuna installed new parking curbs and signs in the gravel lot across the street on North Ave B. Please note the marked parking spaces for ‘senior’ parking Mondays-Wednesdays-Fridays 8 a.m.-1 p.m. We have a number of local seniors with mobility issues who appreciate being able to park close to the entrance. The paved lot next to the Senior Center is used five days a week for open hours and bus trips.

New processes are now in place for us to accept gift store or lending library donations. You must call the Center to set up an appointment during open hours on Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays for us to review your clean and usable household donations. Please, do NOT drop off donations at our front door as we are limited to disposing of them. The Idaho Youth Ranch and St. Vincent’s de Paul thrift stores in Meridian as well as the Melba Valley Senior Center Cottage Thrift Shoppe accept clean, quality household donations. Cash donations supporting Kuna Senior Center are always appreciated.

Flex-Stretch exercises now take place at 11 a.m. most Mondays and Fridays. Bring your own stretch band or we’ll provide one for you. Safe and body-friendly exercises keeping senior legs and arms loose and limber. Another good reason to join Kuna Senior Center.

Community CA$H Bingo every Saturday with doors opening 4:30 p.m. and games starting 6 p.m. Open seating; so, please, no saving tables until you’re all ready to sit for play. Donate cans or packages of food to the Kuna Food Bank and receive ‘bonus bingo’ play cards. You may bring your own snacks & foods for personal consumption and household sharing. Sodas, waters and daubers are available for purchase. Open to everyone 18 and older.

The Kuna Senior Center bus safely operates five days a week with health precautions in place. You must reserve your seat in advance for weekday pick-ups/drop-offs, shopping, medical appointments, and field trips.

Kuna Senior Center’s membership annual dues are  $6 for new and current member renewals. If you’re not a member – or know a local senior who isn’t – stop by for a tour, enjoy a free cup of coffee or tea and pick up a new member packet. Only member requirement is being 60 years of age or older. Current members, please update your information sheet and emergency contact on file when renewing.

Center activities include cards, pool, free bingo, live entertainment, exercise, lending library, gift shop, speakers, and lunches. Please check the event calendar and weekly “Senior News” on page two of the KUNA-MELBA NEWS.

What can we do for you? The Kuna Senior Center safely provides activities, bus services, field trips, foot-care clinics, haircuts, blood pressure checks, live entertainment, lunches, and Saturday CA$H Bingo. Is there anything else we may be doing for local Seniors? Have a neighbor, friend, or family member living in the greater Kuna area over age 60? Bring them by for a free cup of coffee and a tour. Your ideas and suggestions always appreciated.
